The Education Coordinator of the Catholic Diocese of Torit told students to obey the rules and respect teachers in their schools.
Last month, St. Augustine Senior Secondary students went on strike for a week after been punished by administration, Emmanuel Radio reports.
Fr Anthony Ubeo Gilo says it is through a teacher that learners can gain knowledge.
He advises learners to follow administrative procedures when problems arise rather than striking.
Fr Ubeo on the other hand appeals to teachers to respect learners to create a friendly school environment.
The priest stresses that most schools end up striking because of unscreened learners during admission which blocks the innocent learners’ access to education.
He advises school administrations to screens students earlier to minimize indiscipline cases in the schools.
The education coordinator talks to Radio Emmanuel while commenting on the strike done in St Augustine Senior Secondary School Isoke last month.
