Trauma healing and counseling is necessary in schools, says Director for Trauma healing of Justice and Peace in the Catholic Diocese of Tombura/Yambio.
Fr Abraham Abayo told Radio Anisa that they are giving awareness on trauma in schools because children are brought up in violence.
He was talking at Bishop Abangite College of Science and Technology.
Fr Abayo says students are eager to get lessons on trauma counseling.
He urges non-governmental organizations to focus on it to help with those affected.
The Director advises patients to complete the whole sessions because trauma therapy can take minimum of two or maximum of two months program.
Individual could maintain trauma and avoiding things that cause stress, he discloses.
