The Catholic Diocese of Tombura/Yambio is preparing to celebrate the fourth anniversary of Bishop Joseph Gasi Abangite on September 18th.
The anniversary will be mark in form of tournament for teams from third division in Yambio.
Diocesan Youth Chaplain Fr. Gamboripai William Abbass told Radio Anisa that the tournament is under the theme work dignifies and it is a blessing.
Fr William reveals that the reason they have chosen the youth is because Bishop Gasi had a very big love for the youth.
Many games have been introduced this year for the anniversary celebration including, school debates, football, cycling and athletics among others, he describes.
The spiritual part of the anniversary will include, prayers, novena and masses, he adds.
Late Bishop Joseph Gasi Abangite was the first Native Bishop of Tombura/Yambio Catholic Diocese.
He served the diocese for many years and in 2014 he passed on September 13 at the age of 94 in Yambio.
