Four new commissioners of Abyei Administrative Area took oath of office on Wednesday witnessed by SPLM chairman Wol Alor Jok.
The swearing was conducted by Justice Andrew Joshua Chairman of Abyei High Court.
Wour Majak Akol, Acting Secretary of SPLM in Abyei, says the ceremony was based on the party’s constitution to make commissioners heads in all counties.
Majak adds that the commissioners vowed that they will work hard to cooperate with UN force in the Area in terms of security and humanitarian access.

The official was speaking on Wednesday after the swearing in of four commissioners.
