Lack of trained teachers is affecting education, says Maridi State Minister of Education.
 
Radio Anisa quoted Jane Pia Michael, saying the state is lacking teachers for mathematics and science subjects resulting to poor performance of learners, Radio Anisa reports.
 
She discloses that the ministry is getting part-time teachers from Maridi Health Institute to help the schools in mathematics and science.
 
Pia warns some teachers drinking alcohol before going to class to stop the practice or else they are dismissed to avoid spoiling the whole country.
 
The minister reveals that they are monitoring all schools in Maridi State to find the misbehaving teachers.
 
She urges teachers to embrace peace among themselves and learners to create conducive environment.
 
The minister was responding to Radio Anisa in a telephone interview from Maridi State.
