Youth Diocesan Conference of Wau on spirituality and peace coexistence among young people started on Tuesday.
Radio Voice of Hope quoted Noel Elia, Wau Catholic Diocese Youth Chairman, saying the seven-day conference will focus eighty percent on spirituality and leadership.
He appeals to the youth to benefit from the chance to change their lives.
Fr Marko Mungu, Wau Diocesan Administrator, in his opening remarks, advises the young people to be light among communities.
The priest asks the youth to be strong and overcome the situation the country is facing through prayers to change their communities.
Fr Mungu advises the participants to use their energy to fight corruption in the country and work with justice as Jesus Christ did in the world.
The conference under the theme: ‘Arise and shine’, attracted about 450 youth from parishes and students of Catholic Health Training Institute.
