South Sudanese need to treat others as brothers and sisters for peace to prevail in the country, says Mayor of Torit
Juliana Momoi Choho says peace is a priority that every citizen in South Sudan desires at the moment, Radio Emmanuel reports.
She says the current crisis the country is enduring will only come to an end when there is peace.
The Mayor expresses government’s commitment to work for real peace in the state
She says the security situation in the state is normal, except hunger.
Momoi calls on the warring parties to ceasefire and join the peace process to achieve sustainable tranquility in the country.
The Mayor cautions that if South Sudanese do not accept peace in their hearts, the country will never change.
The mayor was talking to Radio Emmanuel after the swearing in ceremony of SPLA-IO member and members of commission on Tuesday in Torit.
