Justice in South Sudan is not realized because the citizens are ignorant of law, says Aid Attorney for South Sudan Law Society, Radio Emmanuelr reports.
Gasper Amule says the practice of customary laws in many parts of the country exploits justice.
He says the justice system in country is not well understood by citizens.
Amule stresses that the importance of justice will reduce tensions in the country and avoids continuous conflict.
The lawyer urges citizens of South Sudan to advocate for justice in all parts of the country.
He advises the local population to report cases of human right violations to the concerned authorities.
Amule says for rule of law to have value, justice should prevail in the country.
He calls on the state government to create awareness to the people on the importance of justice.
The legal officer was speaking to Radio Emmanuel during a one-day community dialogue with rule of law institutions organized by South Sudan Law Society in Torit on Friday
