A member of SPLM-IO appointed to Imotong State cabinet early this month, were sworn in to office on Tuesday before the High Court Judge Duoth Kulang in Torit.
The officials include Mubarak Ruben Emmy, Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and David Otto, member of Physical Planning and Evaluation Commission, Radio Emmanuel reports.
Charles Alphonse Loteuteu, who also took oath, was appointed as member of Peace Commission.
Speaking on behalf of the members, David Otto, says they will work based on the interests of citizens.
Imotong State Governor, Tobiolo Alberio Oromo, says the appointment of the IO minister is an implementation of the peace agreement signed 2015.
He criticizes people’s comments on the appointment of IO in government.
The governor assures the armed groups of the government’s protection.
He says the government stands ready to work for peace in Imotong State.
The speakers made their remarks during the swearing-in ceremony at Imotong State secretariat on Tuesday.
