The government is calling upon the public to end sexual and gender-based violence in Gbudue State.
Time has come for South Sudanese to stand together and fight bad traditional practices, says Pia Michael Philip, Minister of Education, Gender, Child and Social Warfare in Gbudue State.
He notes that sexual and gender-based violence comes when parents do not have time to advise their children and take care of them.
Michael suggests that the police special units need to lead in controlling and responding to any reported case of the bad practice.
He urges members of the communities to report any case of gender-based violence on time.
The minister warns that if parents continue to allow their children to attend night clubs, they will spoil and not benefit anything from them.
Michael calls for collective efforts to fight sexual and gender-based violence in Gbudue State and South Sudan at large.
He thanks World Vision and other partners for their continuous support to fight the bad practice in the state.
The minister was speaking in a workshop conducted by World Vision.
