The Catholic Diocese of Rumbek on Tuesday marked sixth anniversary of the death of Bishop Caesar Mazzolari.
The late Bishop collapsed and died during the mass morning on July 16, 2011, Radio Good news reports.
The Remembrance Day coincided with Sunday and the Catholic Church in Rumbek decided to postpone it to Tuesday.
Diocesan Coordinator, John Mathiang Machol, says in his homily that the late Bishop Caesar cannot be forgotten for all what he has done in Rumbek.
Monsignor Mathiang says Bishop Mazzolari was a unique and courageous man who imitated footsteps of St Daniel Comboni.
He has sent many youth of the diocese of Rumbek to school to come and serve their own people, Mathiang adds.
The Diocesan Coordinator challenges students of Bishop Mazzolari Memorial Secondary to follow the examples and deeds of their patron.
