There are no government soldiers around Moti Orphanage Centre south west of Torit town, says Governor of Imotong State.

Tobiolo Alberio Oromo discloses that SPLA soldiers withdrew after fighting with armed opposition last month, Radio Emmanuel reports.

The orphans are free from any security threat, he says.

The governor was responding to concerns made by UNMISS Chief David Shearer on Thursday about the fighting taking place in some parts of Torit, Imotong State.

Shearer urged the warring parties to withdraw from the Orphanage Home which they use as a battleground.
