The security and humanitarian situations remain fragile in the country, says Joint Monitoring Evaluation Commission or JMEC chairman.
 
Festus Mogae says Ceasefire and Transitional Security Arrangement Mechanism or CTSAM confirms ongoing fighting in some parts of the country.
 
He condemns the violence and demands that the military parties end the fight.
 
Mogae calls on the Transitional Government of National Unity to speed up Constitutional amendment.
 
He welcomes the pledge made by the government to provide one million US Dollars to support peace process.
 
JMEC demands total ceasefire in the country, welcomes IGAD’s commitment to renewal of the peace agreement, explains Mogae.
 
He calls for immediate deployment of the regional protection troops to South Sudan.
 
IGAD Council of Ministers is working to convene a highly forum expected on September 22, 2017, says Mogae.
