Ministry of Agriculture provides fifteen million to farmers as fuel loan

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security has provides fifteen million South Sudanese Pounds to the Agricultural Bank to enable farmers to purchase fuel.
 
Rual Makuei Thiang Managing Director of the Agricultural Bank of South Sudan told Bakhita Radio that the money will be distributed as short term loans.
 
A committee comprising the state ministers of Agriculture, cooperatives, Agricultural Bank and Farmers Union will allocate 21,000 liters of fuel to each state.
 
He encourages farmers to work on crops production to fight the economic crisis and to become exporting countries as in their plan.
 
Early this year the government vow to provide more than 500 million South Sudanese Pounds to support agriculture.
 
The scheme is part of the Comprehensive Agriculture Master Plan which was launched early 2017.
