The government of South Sudan is losing millions of dollars on daily basis due to corruption in the taxation sector and tax avoidance, says President of the republic.
 
Salva Kiir Mayardit calls for reforms in the taxation sector in order to ensure transparency and accountability in tax administration, Radio Bakhita reports.
 
The president made the remarks on Saturday during the celebration of the attainment of a Doctor of Philosophy or PhD by Vice President James Wani Igga.
 
President Kiir urges Igga to use his knowledge to transform the taxation sector in the country.
 
Igga completed his PhD from Bulacan State University in the Philippines, specializing in taxation policy and investment.
