Late Fr Aliardo Lokuru laid to rest in Kapoeta Saturday

The body of Fr Aliardo Lokuru has finally been laid to rest on Saturday afternoon at Our Lady of Sorrow Church in Nalingaro cemetery in Kapoeta.
 
Thousands of faithful, the entire cabinet of Kapoeta State led by Governor Louis Lobong Lojore witnessed the burial.
 
The process started after prayers with marching from Our Lady of Sorrow Church to the cemetery.
 
Speaking to Radio Emmanuel on phone, Monsignor Thomas Oliha Atia, describes the day as a solemn event in Kapoeta State.
 
He consoles Christians to remain hopeful as God is the creator who gives and finally takes human soul to rest.
 
Late Fr Aliardo Lokuru was born in 1936 in Loming village of Kapoeta and was ordained on December 12 in Moroto, Uganda.
 
He died on June 22, 2017 at the age of 81 after working for 51 years as a priest.
