UNMISS trains over 40 civil society members on rights promotion

The United Nations Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS Human Rights Division trained forty-five members of civil society organizations on rights promotion and protection in Rumbek, Western Lakes State.
 
Isaac Majier Majok, Rumbek Civil Society Organizations Network chairperson, says the training will encourage activists to approach issue in a sensitive way that will not endanger their lives, Radio Good News reports.
 
UNMISS Head of field office, Kwame Dawamina, challenges civil society organizations from failing societies because their voices are not well represent.
 
John Oziegbe, head of UNMISS Human Rights team, says the training is to strengthen relationship between the Mission and civil society organizations in promoting human rights.
