Kenyan Commercial Bank closes down in Yambio

Kenyan Commercial Bank or KCB last Friday finally has closed down its office branch in Yambio of Gbudue State.
 
One of the KCB staff confirms that other colleagues, who have been depositing their money in the Bank have lost their big amount of money in the Bank, Radio Anisa reports.
 
The staff calls on the government to talk to KCB to let the people withdraw all their money before closing. 
 
Lucy Siyama, a trader, says it is a big problem to the people of Gbudue State to travel to Juba to take their money especially those who are earning low salaries.
 
She advises the Bank to give one week so that people may withdraw their money.
 
Suzie Bullen, a client at KCB complains that since she came in the morning to withdraw her money she was blocked from taking her money.
 
Tobo Wilson, World Vision accountant, says it will be a big problem for other people to travel by air to Juba to withdraw their money because it is expensive.
 
KCB is the second regional Bank to close its branch office in Gbudue State after Equity Bank.
 
Ivory Bank is the only bank currently working in Gbudue State.
 
Radio Anisa could not reach concerned authorities of the State Ministry of Finance for comment on the matter.
