The Acting Governor of Wau State warns traders against continuously raising prices of food commodities in the markets.

Anthony Charles Ngberede on Thursday told traders to reduce prices before state government’s intervention, Radio Voice of Hope reports.

He observes that traders always increase prices in the market and that one bread is sold at 15 instead of 10 pounds.

Ngberede says prices should come because food commodities have been exempted from taxes.

The Acting Governor warns that concerned authorities will seriously follow up market prices.

The official made the statement after visiting some bakeries in residential areas and markets.
