Civil Society Network of Eastern Equatoria and Youth Union should stand and work together as team without political influence for peace to prevail.

The call follows suspension of Imotong Youth Union early this month on allegations of political involvement.

Peter Olia Lino a member for Youth Network against Poverty, one of the civil society organizations in Imotong State says differences in the network will limit the work of the majority.

Hakim Paride, Secretary-General of Monyo Mijji Union, says the youth are the majority whose disagreement will cause confusion in the society.

The Youth Union’s suspension from the network causes division among the civil societies group in the state, he adds.

Early this month majority of the groups of Civil Society Network for Eastern Equatoria resolved a suspension of Imotong Youth Union on the political ground.

Orupi David, Deputy President of the Imotong State Youth Union, told Radio Emmanuel early this month that the Network has no mandate to suspend it.

Angelina Barnadina Jacob, Chairperson for Women Association in Imotong State, says political attachments of the Union accounts for an automatic suspension from the Network.

She advises the executive members of the Union to be independent and avoid political influence and work together with other civil society organizations for the common good of all citizens.
