Imotong State Ministry of Health in partnership with CORDAID on Thursday trained community leaders in Torit County to equip them with skills of controlling and identifying tuberculosis in their localities.

Dr Pizzi Wilson, the trainer, says community leaders will be able to create awareness among people at the grassroots, Radio Emmanuel reports.

Wilson urges TB patients to seek immediate medical attention to minimize wide spread of the bacteria.

Henrico Jacob Ogworo, Acting Paramount Chief of Torit County, appreciates the Ministry of Health for training local leaders.

He assures that the chiefs will work hard to reduce the spread of TB in communities.

The one-day TB training drew more than 20 community leaders in Torit of Imotong State.
