Authorities of Gondokoro County in Jubek State issued a local order on Wednesday banning brewing of all sorts of alcohol and playing parties in the area.
Redento Tongun Victorio told Radio Bakhita on Thursday that the order will reduce the rate of crimes.
Violators will be arrested without warrant, imprisoned for six months, fined with1000 South Sudanese Pounds and musical instruments will be confiscated, he warns.
Commissioner Tongun notes that the order will allow the community to mobilize themselves for cultivation in the area.
The order is effective from date of its announcement, according to the Commissioner.
