The local humanitarian body in Nuba Mountains ended eight-day workshop on landmines action and awareness, Radio Voice of Peace reports.
Juma Peter, one of the facilitators, expects the rate of injuries to reduce as the team will carry out the work in various counties.
The facilitator advises authorities to help the team in educating the community about the dangers of land mines in the region.
In his closing a ceremony, Governor Suleiman Jabona, tells participants to enlighten the public through Churches, Mosques and other places of gathering.
He calls for the need to train more people to impart in them skills of removing mines in the area.
The workshop brought together 22 participants from eleven counties.
