Professor urges youth to embrace peace and build national identity

Dr Robert Portada says peace, unity and reconciliation will allow young people to build a sense of national identity, Radio Bakita reports.
 
Executive Director of Nile Foundation, Kerbino Wol, says young people are the pillars of the nation.
 
He adds that youth should be empowered to enable them become agents of positive change.
 
One of the participants from the Juba University says youth plan to bring the country back to peace by playing an important role in reconciliation.
 
The speakers made the statement during a public lecture on the role of youth in peace building, conflict resolution, reconciliation and good governance on Wednesday.
 
The lecture was organized by Nile foundation, a civil society organization under the theme: ‘Empowering youth through education’.
 
It brought together over 50 students from different faculties of the University of Juba.
