A medical doctor at Torit State Hospital is urging citizens to always seek treatment from the hospital and other recognized clinics when they become sick.
Dr Juliet Ajok told Radio Emmanuel on Tuesday that many people ignore their sicknesses and only come when they are totally tired.
Dr Ajok advises health workers to always seek for refresher courses so as to acquire new skills that will help reduce children and adults’ death rates.
Juliet says the training aims at equipping health workers with child managerial skills and their treatment.
David Rashas Tom, Inspector for Public Health at Torit State Hospital, says such trainings will improve health services.
Maintaining proper health of a child helps reduce unnecessary sicknesses, he adds.
The officials spoke during health integrated management training on childhood illnesses organized by Save the Children in collaboration with CORDAID.
The workshop that started on Monday and expected to end on Friday in Torit, was to identify, treat and refer children appropriately to the health facilities.
