No need for the national government to send troops from Juba to disperse conflicting Apok and Agok communities in Gogrial State, says Minister of Information.
Ariech Marial Ariech says the two communities observed cease fire after President Salva Kiir ordered the two leaders to stop fighting, Radio Bakhita reports.
He says the situation is currently calm and communities are carrying on with their normal activities.
Marial explains that the troops would be required, if only the communities defied the order of the president.
He reveals that one of the state strategies is to bring permanent peace by asking the national government to help in disarming the civil population.
Apok and Agok communities of Gogrial State have spent over two months of continuous fighting with no clear cause of their grievances.
