Sister of Mary of Kakamega in the Catholic Diocese of Rumbek says the family of Salesians of Don Bosco is constructing a new boarding for girls.
Sister Consolata Mungu explains that early this year, many girls asked them to be in boarding, but they could not take due to limited space, Radio Don Bosco reports.
The boarding which is expected to open next year will accommodate more than one hundred girls, she clarifies.
Sister Consolata says they are currently hosting sixty girls in the boarding.
The Nun requests parents to give girls an opportunity to go to school since they are the future of the nation.
She stresses that the building will have play ground, prayer hall and sleeping rooms.
The Sister encourages the community of Tonj to cooperate with the Salesians family in educating young people in the country.
The religious made the comments on Thursday in Tonj.
