Media Authority has cancelled its decision to ban foreign journalists from entering South Sudan, discloses Chairman of Communication in the Steering Committee of the National Dialogue.
Alfred Taban told Journalists on Wednesday that the decision came after he met the regulatory body on the matter, Radio Bakhita reports.
He says the media body has agreed to allow foreign Journalists to operate within the country.
Early this month, about 20 foreign journalists were banned from entering the country for what the Authority called ‘unconfirmed and unrealistic stories’.
Foreign Correspondents’ Association of East Africa deplored Media Authority move to ban about twenty foreign journalists from reporting in the country.
It calls on the government of South Sudan and the agency to stop blocking international journalists from working in the country.
