A thief on Saturday broke into a house of a pastor of Episcopal Church of South Sudan in Tonj and went away with two mattresses and two chairs.

Pastor David Deng says he went to the police station to open the case and is now searching for the lost property, Radio Don Bosco reports.

He stresses that the issue of theft in Tonj will not stop unless the state government takes care of the street children.

The pastor attributes stealing to high prices in the market.

He discloses that the stolen materials are a great loss to him and are difficult to replace due to skyrocketing of prices in the country.

The pastor reveals that the incident is the first of its kind to happen in his house.

He advises the public to take care of their things in houses.

The police officer promised him to send out a force to search for the stolen materials.

The persons spoke to Radio Don Bosco on Sunday in Tonj.
