Cases of cholera are reducing in Tonj East County, says Director-General in the State Ministry of Health.
Raphael Mawien says there are no new cases indicating effectiveness of controlling the outbreak, Radio Don Bosco reports.
He appreciates the national ministry of health and some NGOs including CCM, UNICEF, TESSO and WHO for putting efforts to contain the disease.
Dr Mawien recalls that 546 cases were treated in cholera treatment units with eight deaths.
The Director-general encourages communities to drink clean and water and keep good hygiene at homes.
