Wau State Minister of Local Government appeals to President Salva Kiir to promote their Governor from a Brigadier General to a Major General.
James Joseph Uyu says citizens of Wau want Andrea Mayar Acho to be appreciated for the efforts he exerted to normalize security situation in the state, Radio Voice of Hope reports.
Mayar Acho was appointed Governor of Wau state in 2016.
He earlier served as the Speaker of Western Bahr El Ghazal State Legislative Assembly before creation of more states.
