Data and Food Security Organization is training monitors for data collection on food security in Nuba Mountains.
Kammel Omar, Director of Data and Food Security, says the aim is to know the level of nutrition in the region, Radio Voice of Peace reports.
He adds that the five-day workshop targets humanitarian monitoring team and, Health, Maternity and Child and Rehabilitation Secretariats.
46 out of 50 participants are taking part in the training, explains the director.
Omar remarks that the team will go out for fieldwork as part of practice in the program, the official discloses.
The Director calls on communities to help the team collect right information on the ground for the organization to have facts on malnutrition of the region.
The workshop is the first of its kind in the Nuba Mountains region.
