The UN Secretary General called on the SPLM and NCP to work together despite political differences to ensure the referendum takes place on time.
Ban Ki-moon said that the time was too short for the parties to engage in political confrontations and competitions.Mr. Ban said political disagreement between the peace partners slowed down technical preparations for the referendum excises.
He urged the two CPA counterparts to show real leadership to create a conducive atmosphere for the vote on self-determination.
