The transport union in Wau state has appreciated the state government for its decision to remove checkpoints on the roads.
Awad Hassan Achuil, chairperson of the transport union describes it as “a good decision”.
It will help all the drivers to deliver goods to the market without delay and obstruction, he adds.
Mr Hassan cites poor roads conditions where only pickup vehicles can manage to carry about twenty bags per trip.
The commodities may be consumed within a short time.
He calls upon the four states of Wau, Aweil, Gogirial and Twic to cooperate and rehabilitate the roads.
Mr Hassan made this remake at transport union office this afternoon in Wau.
