Women and youth peace conference resolves to bring lasting peace

A two-day regional peace conference for women and youth in Yambio County of Gbudue State, resolved to bring lasting peace in South Sudan.
 
Pastor Nathan Yepeta, a member of Inter-faith-based Council of Western Equatoria says the conference recommends identifying sports clubs to organize peace tournaments across the state.
 
The meeting tasked Christian Relief Service in collaboration with South Sudan Council of Churches to initiate radio programs to accommodate youth, he read part of recommendation.
 
He adds that conference asked South Sudan Council of Churches to organize songs and drama to be played on specific days in various radio stations during peace programs.
 
Tombura/Yambio Catholic Bishop Barani Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala pledges that such conference should continue for South Sudanese to come out with home grown solutions for lasting peace.
 
He cautions that this can be realized unless South Sudanese seek pardon from God.
 
Bishop Hiiboro teaches participants on how beneficial and important religion to the societies in the young country.
