An Italian organization, Commitato Collaberazione Medica in collaboration with County Health Department on Monday trained thirteen nurses on medical cases management.

The facilitator, Dr Andrew Ade, says the workshop that targets nurses and midwives, was on postnatal care, Radio Don Bosco report

The primary aim of the four-day training is also to empower the staff on antenatal care, he adds.

Dr Ade appeals to pregnant mothers to deliver in the hospitals because giving birth at home can harm both the mother and the child if proper care is not taken.

In the past, many cases of death during home delivery have been reported.
