Wau State Ministry of Health in partnership with United Nations Children’s Fund or UNICEF and World Health Organization on Monday launched measles campaign.
Salah Abdullah Gasim, EPI deputy officer in Wau, says they are to vaccinate more than one thousand children between six months and five years old.
The vaccination is covering all counties including Raja of Lol State, he adds.

Measles is a disease that develops fever, dry cough, running nose, inflamed eyes and others.
According to World Health Organization, measles cases in South Sudan have increased in the last ten years despite campaigns that were carried out.
