It is hard for the IDPs to go back home as their houses have been burned to ashes, says women representative in Nazareth Catholic Church of Wau Diocese.
Suzie Joseph describes Wau Mayor’s visit to the camp as ‘too late, after the hard times have gone’.
She notes that, during the last incident on 10th April, the government army looted and killed people in front of them without accountability.
The women representative was responding to Wau Mayor who visited the camp and requested that the IDPs should return home.
She adds that they have been patient to go back home but their houses are burned and property looted.
The IDPs at the Catholic premises did not get food ratio for almost two month.
