Common Voice-Africa trains over 30 participants on security in Rumbek

Common Voice-Africa trained thirty-nine officials, quarter councilors and civil society organizations members on security in Rumbek, Western Lakes States.
 
Common Voice-Africa Programs Manager, Manyiel Dut Kok says the training aims at strengthening community resilience and give skills on how societies share security information with local authorities, Radio Good News reports.
 
The training is designed to contain security threats which are disturbing every area in Rumbek town, says Dut.
 
The participants recommended formation of popular community committees to monitor security situation in Rumbek town, the manager explains.
 
Rumbek Town Council Chairperson, Daniel Mabor Machol appreciates Common Voice-Africa for identifying community need on security issues.
