Use music for changing communities to talk the language of peace rather than war, appeals Wau Minister of Local Government and Law Enforcement.
James Joseph Uyo was representing Wau State Governor during the graduation of the first batch of Prison Music Band on Tuesday, Radio Voice of Hope reports.
The celebration was under the theme: ‘For reform, improvement and communities’ change’.
Natale Louis Loi, Director of Prison Music Training Section recalls that the idea of Wau Prison Music Band came in 1986, but implemented in 2010.
He adds that they graduated 27 wardens including ten senior soldiers from different units.
Bol Chol, Major General of Wau Prison describes the day as great and that music plays a very important role in military and the society.
He thanks Director of the Police Music Band for empowering the graduates in order to develop communities in the upcoming ceremonial days.
The speakers were speaking on Monday during the carnival of first Batch of Prison Music Band at Peace Stadium in the Wau State.
