A heavy rain this week flooded rivers in the Nuba Mountains region, putting school children at risk of being taken by water.
Some children from Saint Peter and Paul Primary school attempted to cross the river were almost drowning, Radio Voice of Peace reports.
Headmaster Yousif Dawud calls on parents to advise their children on the dangers of flowing rivers.
He says parents and teachers are responsible for the children.
