The Advisory Committee of Radio Voice of Hope on Saturday visited the station to to know the challenges it faces.
Matthew Francis Juma, committee chairman, says the visit is to know the working environment in the Radio and to listen to challenges facing the staff.
He appreciates the staff for working hard in giving services and resisting challenges of journalists in South Sudan.
Francis advises the journalists to work professionally by differentiating between lies and correct information to avoid creating hatred among communities of Wau and South Sudan.
He appeals to the staff to shun tribalism and build peace in state and the country in general.
Matthew Meskin Alfonse, Program Manager of Radio Voice of Hope, welcomed the committee and explained to them challenges the station faces including lack of staff, equipments and bad working environment.
He says the station is in need of two separate offices: one for news desk and the other for program.
The on air studio needs maintenance and air condition to cool the equipments, Meskin explains.
He adds that some of the program stopped because of lack of staff in the station.
The Program Manager reveals that the station is in need of camera, recorders and other devices which can help to cover events live from the field to the listeners.
The staff of Radio Voice of Hope appeal to the visitors to respect the laws and the regulations of the station by not touching or using equipments of the station.
The advisory committee promised that they will try to look into the challenges during their coming meeting in the near future.
