Wau State Minister of Information tells people carrying guns not to shoot during SPLA Day for people to celebrate in peace without fear.
David John Ponis warns that soldiers found violating the orders will be held accountable, Radio Voice of Hope reports.
He says the security situation in Wau town is normal.
The official adds that the occasion will take place at Grinti Army Barrack Division Five.
The SPLA Day is celebrated every year on May 16 to remember the time SPLA took up arms in 1983 against the Sudanese government.
