Students’ debate in various schools is key for making unity and lasting peace in South Sudan, says head teacher.
Anthony Toka, head teacher of Wau Girls’ Secondary School spoke when his administration and United Girls Secondary Schools gathered learners to debate on the importance of girls’ and boys’ education in the society.
He says the main aim of the debate was giving students a chance to discuss about unity and sustainable peace, Radio Voice of Hope reports.
It is a sign of peace building among them, Toka adds.
Mark Mayul head teacher of United Girls’ Secondary School emphasizes that the debate is for girls to speak about peace.
Students need to live as calm people and contribute in peace building in their communities, Mayul stress.
