A new group of women at St. Joseph parish, in Juba, organized a fund raising activity towards the completion of the new church.
Fr. Alfred Lado, the parish priest of St. Joseph, told Bakhita Radio that the construction of the new church started two years ago and it is being built by phases according to the money the community is able to put together.Fr. Lado added that the parish needed 500 thousand US dollars to complete the new temple.
The chairman of the construction committee said the church should be completed after the referendum.
He added that the parish wants to celebrate mass in the new temple even before it is finished.
The Faithful Women Group raised 4000 Sudanese Pounds and 1500 US Dollars towards St Joseph’s new parish church with today’s activity.
