Security authorities in Wau State have released the Executive Director of Unity Cultural and Development Centre after seventeen days detention.
Angelo Bensencio Mongu was proved not guilty, but that the accusations were false and baseless, Radio Voice of Hope reports.
He was accused of being a ringleader and focal person for the armed opposition around Wau State.
After an intensive investigation, there were no any clear evidences and that gave trust to the concerned authorities to release him.
Bensencio calls upon those behind his detention to provide factual information and concrete evidences, but not mislead people with personal differences and hatred.
He says the work of national security personnel is to protect South Sudan territory, integrity and wellbeing of its citizens.
The director thanks all persons, institutions and his colleagues of Unity Cultural Development Centre, family members for the efforts exerted for his release.
He urges all South Sudanese to forgive one another since the nation is going through the process of national dialogue.
Bensencio was arrested by national security personnel on April 20, and freed on May 7, 2017.
