Thieves have stolen eight poles of the fence of Saints Peter and Paul catholic Primary School in Kumbur Payam in Hieban County.
The theft took place on Thursday night, Voice of Peace reports.
The school’s headmaster, Yousif Daud, says the compound is left open and animals can get inside.
He notes that animals can destroy plants.
The headmaster warns that education might be halted.
He doubts that the thieves committed the crime because they are hungry.
Kumbur Payam Deputy Police Chairman, Musa Bashir Teka, condemns the incident and promises to find the culprits.
The police officer adds that he is deeply disappointed about the crime.
Saints Peter and Paul parish of which the school is part of has been hit by several thefts in recent times.
