The National Minister of Health appeals to mothers to bring their children for vaccination against several diseases.

Riak Gai Kok says the government is targeting about 2.4 million children countrywide, Radio Bakhita reports.

The Minister, who was speaking during the African Vaccination Day, assures the public that vaccination will reach children in armed opposition controlled areas.

Dr Gai urges medical personnel to actively participate in the immunization campaign to ensure attending fully to children.

According to World Health Organization, more than 300,000 children less than one year do not get immunization, exposing them to risk of many diseases.
