Imotong is showing solidarity to its sister state Kapoeta in welcoming President Salva Kiir Mayardit.
Talking to Radio Emmanuel on Wednesday, Imotong State Spokesperson Jacob Atari said, a team led by State Deputy Governor Margret Itto Leonardo is now in Kapoeta to welcome the president.
The Deputy Governor is accompanied by the State Minister of Education, Hassan Urbano and Dominic Otwari, a member of the State Legislative Assembly.
Minister Urbano says the division of the former Eastern Equatoria State should not be an issue.
The long awaited visit of the president to Kapoeta State is expected today.
Earlier, Radio Emmanuel learnt that the visit of the President to Kapoeta State is to inaugurate the 90th year of Kapoeta as a district.
Attempts to talk to the Kapoeta State Governor Louise Lobong Lojore on the purpose of the visit of the President to the area could not bear fruits.
