The Humanitarian Coordinator for South Sudan has condemned the tribal killing of three aid workers and the doorkeeper in Wau last week.

Eugene Owusu says in a press release that he is shocked to hear the killing just after appealing for an end to the targeting of civilians and aid workers in South Sudan.

He demands for an urgent investigation to identify the perpetrators and bring them to justice.

Mr Owusu sends his deepest condolences to the families and friends of the three brave men who lost their lives while offering services to the vulnerable people.

He calls on the warring parties to uphold their responsibilities under international humanitarian law to protect civilians.
